The Gordon County Magistrate Court is currently seeking qualified applicants for the positions of Assistant Constable. This is a part time position. Job duties will include but are not limited to the following: serve court papers; provide courtroom security; assist with set outs and writs of possession; assist and fill in for Chief Constable. The qualified applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalency; a valid Georgia Driver’s License; good navigation skills; good communications skills, both verbal and written; and ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public. Must have at least two (2) years of experience working in law enforcement and be a POST certified officer. Background check and drug screening required.
