January 8, 2018

Regular Meeting
Chairman Padgett called the meeting to order at approximately 5:15 p.m., welcoming all in attendance. Minutes from November 6, 2017 meeting were presented for review and approval. Jeff Henderson made motion to approve minutes; seconded by David Mitchell. All voted aye.
Commission Reports
Jeff Henderson gave update regarding “Pauper Farm” on McDaniel Road. He shared pictures of structures on property with the HPC.
Unfinished Business
Chairman Padgett met with Sarah Husser, Gordon County Convention Visitors Bureau, regarding recommendations in reference to the Parks. Friends of Resaca will be doing some much needed park improvements.
New Business
Chairman Padgett and Southern Paranormal group visited Fort Wayne site. SPI will share their finds with the HPC at an upcoming meeting.
Chairman Padgett stated CSX railroad is placing a side track on the Chitwood Farm property.
Chairman Padgett obtained partial records from Damascus Church, erected in 1852. Records were shared with HPC.
Jeff Henderson made motion for future meetings to be changed from 5:30 p.m. meeting time to 5:15 p.m. time; seconded by David Mitchell. All voted aye.
Adjournment
Next scheduled HPC meeting is Monday, February 5, 2018 @ 5:15 p.m.. Jeff Henderson made motion to adjourn; seconded by Jim Weaver. All voted aye. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:40 p.m.
