WORK SESSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 1, 2022 AT 5:45 P.M.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
County Administrator Ledbetter explained the agenda items under New Business on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting.
Administrator Ledbetter advised that the Parks and Recreation Director, Craig Sparks, has requested the Board consider a request from the Gordon Central High School’s Construction Team. The Construction Team wishes to place Little Free Library stations at the Ooky Faith Park. The construction team wants to build these library stations and install them at the Ooky Faith Park. Since Mr. Sparks was unable to attend the Board meeting, Board members wanted to get more information before making any decision on the request.
Commissioner Owens requested to add an item to the agenda for an appointment to the Gordon County Health Department to fill an unexpired term. Commissioner Owens submitted the name of Dr. Joseph Joyave, to replace Dr. Howard Ashley and stated that he highly recommends Dr. Joyave to fill this unexpired term ending December 31, 2022. There was a consensus of the Board to add this as an item to the Agenda for the Regular Meeting.
Commissioner Potts made a motion to close the Work Session. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 5:58 p.m.
