Joint meeting with Calhoun Historic Preservation Commission

Regular Meeting
Jim Lay welcomed everyone to the joint meeting. Jim Lay gave a brief overview of Calhoun HPC projects (downtown signs, recognized downtown historic buildings, uniformity with business signs downtown).
Kenny Padgett briefly discussed projects Gordon County HPC has been involved with (recent sale of Chitwood property, cemetery projects, upcoming cemetery clean up at Confederate Cemetery).
Jane Powers Weldon briefly discussed Keep Calhoun-Gordon County beautiful projects. She discussed golf tournament fundraiser, partnership with 4H for Arbor Day and river clean up, 1000 bulbs planted near black and ground playground.
Both Commissions discussed having a yearly meeting to discuss projects and concerns with one another.
Meeting was adjourned at approximately 12:48 p.m.
