GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 4, 2014


The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.

Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to go into Executive Session for personnel. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session began at 1:00 p.m.

Commissioner Sexton made a motion to adjourn the Executive Session and to go into the Work Session. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session adjourned at 4:55 p.m. and the Work Session began at 5:00 p.m. after a short break for the commissioners.

The Board discussed each item on the agenda and made no changes. One item was added to the Agenda later in the meeting.

County Attorney Smith advised that Jeff Champion, Director for Buildings and Grounds, had checked on a monitoring alarm for the coroner’s office and had gotten an estimate of $1,300. There was a consensus of the Board to move forward with purchasing the alarm.

The Board discussed a document received from James Carver with the coroner’s office. No action was taken on this item.

County Attorney Smith discussed with the Board a renewal letter from Dobbs & Company for a three-year renewal for auditing services. There was a consensus of the Board to add this item to the Regular Meeting agenda.

Commissioner Steward made a motion to adjourn the Work Session, Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
