GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 17, 2015
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.
Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Hood asked if there are any additions, omissions, or deletions to the Minutes for the Work Session February 3, 2015, and the Regular Meeting February 3, 2015. Commissioner Sexton made a motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Sexton, Steward, and Gazaway voted aye. Minutes approved.
ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT
County Administrator King read the report into the record (copy attached).
COMMISSIONERS’ REPORT
Commissioner Gazaway reported that he had attended a PATH meeting. Commissioner Sexton commented that he attended the Public Works Committee meeting, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new fire station and the Community and Governmental Affairs meeting.
CONSIDERATION OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS
None
CONSIDERATION OF NEW BUSINESS
BOARD APPROVAL TO APPLY FOR A UNITED WAY GRANT FOR THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT
Administrator King advised that this is a request from the Director of Parks and Recreation, Don Holley, to apply for a United Way grant to help fund registration fees for children to play sports who might not be able to pay.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to approve applying for the grant. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Steward, Sexton, and Gazaway voted aye. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Hood asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
