GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
MARCH 5, 2013
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.
Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed each item on the agenda and made no changes or additions.
County Administrator Dowling explained the reason for the comprehensive plan community work program update and opened the public workshop up for citizen comments. Several citizens spoke to the Board with questions and comments, Mr. Dan McBee with Rivers Alliance; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harris and Mrs. Celia Herd from the east side of the county wanting more protective services available in that part of the county; Mrs. Roberta Charbonneau with Family Connection suggested that the County needs more transportation options for citizens needing a ride to take advantage of offered services that they are in need of. County Administrator Dowling advised that there would be one more public workshop held at the next meeting of the Board of Commissioners on March 19th.
Commissioner Gazaway made a motion to go into Executive Session for real estate matters. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session began at
5:40 p.m.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to go back into the Work Session. Commissioner Gazaway seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session adjourned at 5: 55 p.m.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session, Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
