The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.

The Board discussed each item on the agenda and made no changes or additions. During the discussion of the item on the agenda for selection of a builder for the replacement fire station, Fire Chief, Dave Hawkins spoke to the Board about his concerns regarding the selection of the builder for the replacement fire station.

Representatives from Pieper O’Brien Architects came before the Board to show the newly redrawn design plan for the parking deck and to give the Board information on cost figures. The Board was in favor of the design and the cost numbers. There was a consensus of the Board to ask Martin Vaugh, Purchasing Director, to move forward with sending out requests for bids for the parking deck.

Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session, Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
