GORDON COUNTY, GEORGIA PUBLIC BRIEFING NOTICE
Gordon County will hold a public briefing at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the Gordon County Administration Building at 201 N. Wall Street in Calhoun, Georgia.
The purpose of the public briefing will be to discuss the approved activities of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project which was recently completed. The grant, received from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs on September 30, 2010, was used to purchase property and construct a building to house the Tallatoona CAP, Inc. operation.
Items to be discussed include: (1) the amount of funds received and a description of activities, (2) the amount of funds spent on each activity, (3) the amount used to benefit low/moderate income persons, and (4) Fair Housing Laws and the county’s efforts to further fair housing.
Citizens are invited to attend this meeting to obtain information on the completed grant activities and offer comments. A final quarterly report on the project is available at the county administration office.
