WORK SESSION MINUTES
MAY 5, 2020
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at 5:45 p.m. via teleconference.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
County Administrator Ledbetter explained each item on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting.
The Board next discussed the County‘s Covid-19 policy in light of the Governor’s last Executive Order. The governor extended the state of emergency to June 12. Governor extended the shelter in place for high-risk individuals to June 12 at midnight. Under the Reviving a Healthy Georgia order. That order is effective until May 13 at midnight. Under that order we are to continue social distancing, and no gatherings of more than 10 people 6ft apart which does not apply to critical infrastructure, the 17 measures which we are already doing except taking temperatures. Public access to county buildings will continue to follow restrictions until May 13, unless there is a new Executive Order by the Governor. The Senior Center will have to stay closed until June 13. Parks are open to walking. Other government offices will remain open with restricted access until May 12 at midnight. Court systems are following the Order of the Georgia Supreme Court restrictions until June 12 at midnight.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to go into Executive Session for real estate matters. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session began at 5:55 pm.
Commissioner Owens made a motion to close the Executive Session and go back into the Work Session.
Commissioner Owens made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 6:02 p.m.
