WORK SESSION MINUTES
MAY 7, 2019
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
Administrator Ledbetter discussed the items on the agenda for the Regular Meeting.
Administrator Ledbetter also discussed a request from Matt Wicks with a filming company which was relayed by Ken Padgett with the Friends of Resaca, to use the Resaca Battlefield Park location to film a commercial for AdventHealth on May 20th. There was a consensus of the Board to allow the use of the Battlefield Park. Details will be worked out with the Administrator.
Chairman Hood advised during the discussion of the two appointments to the Development Authority, that Randall Fox wishes to be re-appointed and Donna McEntyre does not wish to serve another term. There was a consensus of the Board to add this to the Regular Meeting agenda.
The Board discussed the need for an appointment to the Board of Elections and Voter Registration for the Democratic Party representative filling the unexpired term ending 12/31/2020, left by the passing of Mina Lusk. There was a consensus of the Board to add this item to the Regular Meeting agenda also.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to go into Executive Session for Legal Matters. Commissioner Owens seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Owens, Steward, and Sexton voted aye. Executive Session convened at 5:40 p.m. in the Administration Building break room. Executive Session adjourned at 6:05 p.m. with a motion by Commissioner Cunningham and seconded by Commissioner Steward and approved by Commissioners Cunningham, Steward, Owens, and Sexton.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Owens seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
