Regular Meeting
Chairman Padgett called the meeting to order at approximately 5:25 p.m.; welcoming all in attendance. Minutes from May 4, 2015 meeting were presented for review and approval. Jeff Henderson made motion to approve; seconded by David Mitchell. All voted aye.
Commissioner Reports
David Mitchell mentioned the new lighting being installed at Highway 53 & I-75 corridor. Chairman Padgett stated the Battle of Resaca Re-enactment went well. HPC briefly reviewed a final punch list of the Battlefield project.
Old Business
Chairman Padgett advised HPC members of an email sent out in regards to obtaining a copy of the Blue & Grey Magazine, dedicated to Battle of Resaca. A copy of the magazine was available for HPC members to review. HPC reviewed a letter received in regards to communication tower being installed on Boone Ford Road. Chairman Padgett received copies of Civil War letters from Larry Gaines, related to Battle of Chickamauga. HPC briefly reviewed letters. Chairman Padgett stated during the Battle Re-enactment, Gordon County’s easement was violated. Ground was scraped by a tractor, brush piled up and several fire pits dug. Chairman Padgett will write letter of concern regarding this incident.
New Business
Chairman Padgett briefly reviewed handout on improvements at Cash Road/Folsom Road. There is no conflict with project, due to property not listed on National Registry. Jeff Henderson stated the new Gordon County GIS mapping website does not include cemetery map on legend. Ursula Desrosier will check into GIS website.

Next scheduled meeting is Monday, July 6, 2015 @ 5:30 p.m.. Betty Ann Surdykowski made motion to adjourn; seconded by Jeff Henderson. All voted aye.
