GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
JUNE 19, 2012


The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Bailey called the meeting to order.

The Board discussed each item on the Agenda and deleted one item for a Contract with Cirilian, Inc., the Board also added two items to the Agenda later in the meeting.

County Attorney Smith discussed with the Board removing an item for a Contract with Cirilian, Inc. for the Recreation Department. The Parks and Recreation Director had advised that he had not heard back from Cirilian concerning some changes that Gordon County had made to the Contract. There was a consensus of the Board to remove this item from the Agenda until the next meeting.

In a discussion regarding the item on the Agenda for the proposal for Property and Liability Insurance Coverage, the Board agreed to accept an option presented from the County’s Risk Manager regarding lowering the automobile policy deductible from $25,000 to $10,000.

County Attorney Smith discussed the Malt Beverage, Wine and Liquor Ordinance with the Board. There was a consensus of the Board to add the Ordinance to the Agenda for a first reading.

The Board also agreed to add an item to the Agenda at the request of the Sheriff’s Department to declare as surplus property, a list of confiscated items consisting of six 4-wheelers, a tv, a laptop, and a cell phone.

Commissioner Long made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and all voted aye.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
