GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
JULY 11, 2017
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Administration Building.
Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed the items on the Regular Meeting agenda and made no changes or additions.
County Administrator/Attorney Ledbetter discussed the resolution amending the Unified Land Development Code and lifting the moratorium on construction of new poultry operations in Gordon County. Attorney Ledbetter pointed out the changes to that section of the ULDC and how they will affect new applications for permits for poultry operations.
Chairman Hood advised the Board that she had received notification from the Government Finance Officers Association that Gordon County’s fiscal year ended 2016 comprehensive annual financial report is awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. Chairman Hood asked that a presentation to Mr. Al Leonard, Finance Director, be made at the next Work Session Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, congratulating him on this achievement.
County Administrator Ledbetter presented the Administrator’s Report. (copy attached to Regular Meeting minutes)
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session and go into the Regular Meeting. Commissioner Owens seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
