Gordon County Finance Director Receives Award

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded Gordon County Finance Director, Al Leonard, his 8th consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for preparing Gordon County’s award winning comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). This Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. In Georgia, only about 31 counties out of 159 (19%) receive this annual award.
