WORK SESSION MINUTES
AUGUST 1, 2017
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
Administrator Ledbetter gave the Administrator’s Report to the Board and also read the report from the Code Enforcement Officer Jim Bradford.
Administrator/County Attorney Ledbetter explained the agenda items and discussed each item with the Board. The item under old business for the Public transportation proposal from North Georgia Community Action was discussed and Attorney Ledbetter advised the Board that the proposal had been amended to reflect the actual service hours. Attorney Ledbetter recommended the Board approve the proposal for services for the 5311 Van Program.
Administrator/Attorney Ledbetter advised the Board that the Magistrate Court has purchased a vehicle that was approved in their budget and the Magistrate Judge is requesting the Board approve the purchase of the vehicle. There was a consensus of the Board to add this item to the agenda for Board approval.
Attorney Ledbetter commented that Al Leonard, Finance Director, has prepared data and photographs for the Chamber’s 2018 SPLOST committee, at their request. Director Leonard has put together some really good photos of 2012 SPLOST projects that have been completed with SPLOST funding.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 6:11 p.m.
