SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITY
- CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS:
- 1960s Courthouse: This project is complete with an open house date set for August 25. Momon Construction has removed its fence and parking is now open.
- ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: County and City Administrative staff met with executives of the Gordon County Development Authority met last week.
- EMPLOYEE DEFINED BENEFIT PLAN: ACCG will be meeting with County employees on August 23 and 30 to provide information on the employee defined benefit plan.
- EMS QRC: The EMS Quality Review Committee met last week. Advent EMS presented data showing improved response times and lower on scene times.
- OOSTANAULA COMMUNITY CLUB: County personnel met with club members and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene last week.
- BUILDING AND GROUNDS: Hosted a meeting regarding need to replace boiler pipes in the Government Plaza.
- FIRE DEPARTMENT: Spoke with the Chief regarding ongoing loss of veteran Firefighters to jurisdictions with higher pay rates.
