FINANCIAL REPORT

  • CASH AND INVESTMENT REPORT:  This report is available for your review.
  • MILLAGE RATE:  The next major financial milestone for the BOC will be setting the millage rate.

SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITY

  • CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS:
    • 1960s Courthouse: This project is complete with an open house date set for August 25. Momon Construction has removed its fence and parking is now open.
  • ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:  County and City Administrative staff met with executives of the Gordon County Development Authority met last week.
  • EMPLOYEE DEFINED BENEFIT PLAN:  ACCG will be meeting with County employees on August 23 and 30 to provide information on the employee defined benefit plan.
  • EMS QRC:  The EMS Quality Review Committee met last week. Advent EMS presented data showing improved response times and lower on scene times.
  • OOSTANAULA COMMUNITY CLUB:  County personnel met with club members and Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene last week.
  • BUILDING AND GROUNDS:  Hosted a meeting regarding need to replace boiler pipes in the Government Plaza.
  • FIRE DEPARTMENT:  Spoke with the Chief regarding ongoing loss of veteran Firefighters to jurisdictions with higher pay rates.
