Information Regarding the Unified Land Development Code 4.03.02(K) Dry Litter Poultry Operations

At the December 7th Board of Commissioner’s Regular Meeting, The Board of Commissioners adapted an update to the Unified Land Development Code 4.03.02(K) Dry Litter Poultry Operations.  The Board of Commissioners also lifted the temporary moratorium.

Temporary Emergency Moratorium Extended Through November 16, 2021

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Gordon County Board of Commissioners regularly scheduled meeting. The Board voted on and approved an extension to the temporary emergency moratorium through November 16, 2021.

Public Notice: Temporary Emergency Moratorium
for New or Expanding Commercial Poultry Operations

On Friday, August 20, 2021 at 4:30 pm, The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Special Called Meeting for the purpose of considering a temporary emergency moratorium on the acceptance of applications for zoning approvals, issuance of building permits, land disturbance permits, and any other approvals or permits regarding new commercial poultry operations or the expansion of existing commercial poultry operations.  After the reading of the resolution, the Board of Commissioners voted in favor of enacting the temporary emergency moratorium as read.

for 8/20/2021 at 4:30pm

The Gordon County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Called Meeting at 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2021. The meeting will be held in the meeting room of the Gordon County Administrative Offices located at 201 North Wall Street in Calhoun, Georgia for the purpose of considering a temporary emergency moratorium on the acceptance of applications for zoning approvals, issuance of building permits, land disturbance permits, and any other approvals or permits regarding new commercial poultry operations or the expansion of existing commercial poultry operations.
