WORK SESSION MINUTES
AUGUST 21, 2018
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
County Administrator Ledbetter spoke to the Board regarding the Agenda for the Regular Meeting. He explained each item on the agenda and there were no changes or additions made to the Agenda.
Mr. Pete Weber, CEO with Gordon Hospital came before the Board to advise that the hospital’s name is changing to AdventHealth effective January 2, 2019. Mr. Weber added that this change was made to bring into line the various Adventist Health System facility locations under the same name for more name recognition and for medical users to be able to identify with AdventHealth. Adventist Health System has several medical facilities in the North Georgia area, and nationwide facilities in nine states, all will now be under the name AdventHealth.
Commissioner Owens made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 5:47 p.m.
