WORK SESSION MINUTES
OCTOBER 1, 2019
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 5:45 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
County Administrator Ledbetter explained each item under New Business on the agenda; the Administrator called particular attention to the item for a resolution imposing a temporary burn ban effective October 1, 2019, until lifted by the Board of Commissioners. There were no changes or additions to the agenda.
Chairman Hood advised that the item for Citizen Comments has three citizens signed up to speak, Mrs. Carol Nance, Mr. Bob Nance, and Mrs. Carolyn Thompson. Mrs. Nance spoke regarding property owners’ rights for buffers around city owners’ property where it adjoins county property. Specifically desiring foliage replaced, and permit restriction or denial for future building of apartments or duplexes. Mr. Nance spoke next and commented that without these restrictions and owner’s rights, his property has experienced devaluation. Mrs. Thompson spoke last and commented that there should be a property owner’s rights for a buffer for privacy. She then asked, are the rights of homeowners being met.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Owens seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
