Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.

County Administrator/Attorney Ledbetter discussed with the Board each item on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting and one item was corrected, and with no additions to the agenda. Mr. Martin Vaughn, with the Purchasing Department explained to the Board the item for a fuel contract award and Mr. Kenny Padgett with Friends of Resaca explained the request from the Historic Preservation Commission for a paranormal investigation at the Fort Wayne property.

The Board discussed the request from the Department of Family and Children Services for new flooring for their building. Ms. Diane Kirby, Chairperson of the Board of Family and Children Services, explained to the Board that the request is for LVP flooring in high traffic areas and carpet in the other areas. After discussing price comparisons, the Board of Commissioners recommended that LVP should be used in all areas. Commissioner Steward recommended contacting one of the manufacturing plants and requesting that they consider donating the flooring or giving a deal on the price. There was a consensus of the Board to move forward with the LVP flooring and to check with local manufacturers to see if they would help in some way.

County Administrator/Attorney Ledbetter presented Ordinance Officer Jim Bradford with the certificate of completion of a rigorous program to achieve his level one certification. Officer Bradford is now working on his level two. Administrator Ledbetter congratulated Officer Bradford for this achievement.

Commissioner Sexton made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye.
