WORK SESSION MINUTES
OCTOBER 21, 2014
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.
Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed each item on the agenda and made no changes or additions to the Agenda
Ms. Dana Burch, Chief Appraiser at the Tax Assessors Office, came before the Board to update the Board on the current practices for conservation use value assessments. Ms. Burch gave the Board several flyers and information sheets concerning agricultural preferential assessment and current use valuations that are available to the public in order to help answer their questions. Ms. Burch spoke about several programs and plans being implemented in the Tax Assessors Office to make that office more transparent.
Commissioner Gazaway made a motion to close the Work Session. Commissioner Sexton seconded and all voted aye. There being no further business the Work Session adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
