SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 24, 2014
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Special Meeting October 24, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Conference Room for the purpose of approving the contract for the construction of the parking deck.
Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
Chairman Hood advised that the purpose of the meeting is for Board consideration of approving a contract with RA-LIN and Associates for the construction of the parking deck, and authorizing the Chairman to execute the document.
County Attorney Ledbetter explained that the contract has a $100,000 contingency with a base price of $2,170,593. The contract calls for a completion time of 180 days from the date of commencement.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to sign. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Sexton, Steward, and Gazaway voted aye. Motion passed.
Commissioner Gazaway made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion. All voted aye. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:04 p.m.
