GORDON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
WORK SESSION MINUTES
NOVEMBER 1, 2016


The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.

The Board discussed each item on the agenda for the Regular Meeting and made no changes or additions.

Mr. Don Holley, Director of Parks and Recreation, explained the Green Way and Blue Way Master Plan and Feasibility Study for Gordon County. This is a trail system linking community facilities and resources through a series of walking and biking trails and waterways.

County Administrator King advised that the County solicited proposals for design consulting for the Green Way and Blue Way Master Plan and Feasibility Study and the evaluation committee recommendation is to award the consulting firm Kaizen Collaborative the proposal award at a price of $50,000. The project will be funded from a grant and matching county funds.

County Administrator King advised that the county had solicited for bids for a tandem dump truck. Several vendors responded and the staff recommended Nextran Truck Center at a price of $123,344.91 which best meets the specifications in the bid.

Commissioner Gazaway made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye.

There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
