The Board of Commissioners met for the Work Session in the Main Courtroom of the Courthouse at 5:30 p.m.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.

The Board discussed the construction easement on a portion of Trimble Hollow Road.

County Administrator Ledbetter explained the zoning issue and other New Business items on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting.

Administrator Ledbetter advised that concerning a construction easement on a portion of Trimble Hollow Road, Mr. Brumlow gave Mr. Ledbetter a revised draft today. During the rezoning of the Moore farm property for future industrial/warehousing development this Board made it a condition that the developer would widen and improve Trimble Hollow Road to handle industrial traffic, in it’s present state it is little more than a farm road right now. Plans that were given to the Board at that meeting will be incorporated into a temporary construction easement. What this will entail is, it will take a while for OWR to construct that road. Mr. Ledbetter asked Mr. Brumlow how long did they think it would take for the improvements to Trimble Hollow. He answered, that we have been told about 45 days depending on the weather. Mr. Ledbetter further advised that the safest and most effective way to do this is to close that section of road and take care of it all at once. There is another way out, either by way of Trimble Hollow or the road that goes into Adairsville. The temporary construction easement will be built out according to plans and specifications that have been submitted meaning that it will be of good quality suitable for industrial traffic. The road will be temporarily closed and Steve Paris will stay involved in this and it will have to meet his approval prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy or the effectiveness of the zoning under the terms of what we had said at the rezoning hearing. I would like to add that on where we talk about the Agenda for item B. State LMIG Grant for Trimble Hollow. Chairman Hood advised that the Board would discuss this in Executive Session.

Commissioner Potts made a motion to go into Executive Session for Personnel, Legal, and Real Estate matters. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session began at 5:40 p.m. The Board met in a meeting room located in the Courthouse for the Executive Session. Commissioner Potts made a motion to close the Executive Session and to go back into the Work Session. Commissioner Cunningham seconded the motion and all voted aye. Executive Session adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
