Regular Meeting
Betty Ann Surdykowski called the meeting to order at approximately 5:26 p.m., welcoming all members in attendance. Minutes from November 3, 2014 minutes were presented for review and approval. Alvin Long made motion to accept; seconded by David Mitchell. All voted aye.
Alvin Long informed HPC members that Adair Cemetery is documented on property deed.
HPC members briefly discussed progression of Resaca Battlefield project.
Jeff Henderson stated CBS.Now will be publishing a news story on Battle of Franklin.
Alvin Long briefly discussed the financial impacts the opening of the Resaca Park could have on Gordon County. Average historic tourist spends twice as much money within the area they are visiting than the typical tourist would spend.
Brief discussion to TVA gas/power lines that will affect portions of Gordon County.
Betty Ann Surdykowski distributed digital and print copies of historical families of Gordon County to HPC members.
Jeff Henderson invited HPC members to attend Gordon County Historical Society’s open house on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 4 pm – 6 pm.

Next scheduled meeting is Monday, January 5, 2015 @ 5:30 p.m.. Alvin Long made motion to adjourn meeting; seconded by Jeff Henderson. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 5:43 p.m.
