REGULAR SESSION MINUTES
DECEMBER 4, 2018
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held their Regular Meeting on December 4, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration building.

Chairman Hood called the meeting to order.
EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION – Employees with Anniversary Hire Dates in December
Commissioner Owens read the list of employees with anniversary hire dates in December. Commissioner Steward drew the name of Vickey Pickett as Employee of the Month for December.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Hood asked if there are any additions, omissions, or deletions to the Minutes for the Work Session November 20, 2018 and the Regular Meeting November 20, 2018. Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to approve the Minutes. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Steward, Owens and Sexton voted aye. Motion passed.

CONSIDERATION OF NEW BUSINESS
CONSIDERATION OF 2019/2020 LMIG PROJECT REPORT FOR SUBMISSION TO GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
Administrator Ledbetter advised that this is a report of a list of road projects to be submitted to the Georgia Department of Transportation for its consideration for funding under the Local Management Improvement Grant for 2019/2020. Public Works Department has evaluated these roads to determine if they meet the requirements for this grant.
Commissioner Cunningham made a motion to approve the LMIG project report for 2019/2020 Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Steward, Sexton, Owens and Cunningham voted aye. Motion passed.
DECLARATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTERS FOR TRANSFER TO THE UGA EXTENSION FOR USE IN THE GORDON COUNTY 4-H PROGRAM
Administrator Ledbetter advised that this is a declaration of surplus property for some laptop computers from the Fire Department. These computers will be transferred to the Cooperative Extension Service for use by the Gordon County 4-H Program.
Commissioner Sexton made a motion to approve the declaration of surplus property for computers at the Fire Department. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Cunningham, Steward, Owens and Sexton voted aye. Motion passed.
BUDGET AMENDMENT TO FUND YEAR END ONE-TIME PAY INCREASE TO REWARD EMPLOYEE EFFICIENCY
Administrator Ledbetter advised that this is a budget amendment to give a one-time pay increase to reward Gordon County Employees for their efficiency during the past year.
Commissioner Owens made a motion to approve the budget amendment for a one-time pay to employees. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and Commissioners Owens, Sexton, Steward, and Cunningham voted aye. Motion passed.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Steward made a motion to adjourn the Regular Meeting. Commissioner Sexton seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:07 p.m.
