12/15/09 Work Session Minutes
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Conference Room.
Chairman Long called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed each item on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting and one item was added to the Agenda during the meeting.
Representatives from R. M. Dobbs & Company came before the Board to present the 2008/2009 Fiscal Year Audit and answer questions from the Board.
Ms. Catherine Schoeman with Highland Rivers came before the Board to give a report of the program being offered for mental health and substance abuse.
The Board discussed a request from the Voluntary Action Center for additional funding and there was a consensus of the Board to consider this request on next year’s budget.
Mr. Matt Walch and Russell Wolf with BRPH Architects spoke to the Board concerning their proposal for construction administration services for the Resaca Battlefield Historic site. There was a consensus of the Board to add the proposal to the Agenda for Board consideration.
Commissioner Bailey made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Gordon seconded and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the Work Session adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
