Top Firm Selected for Design/Build for Gordon County New Agricultural Center

The Gordon County Board of Commissioners is soliciting for written qualifications from interested companies to design and construct a new 12,963 square foot facility under a design-build construction delivery arrangement on a turn-key basis in accordance with federal and state design guidelines to house the USDA Service Center including the Farm Service Agency — Farm Programs and Farm Loan Programs and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Also included in the facility are the offices of the Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission and the Agricultural Extension Service.

The top three (3) firms presented to the selection committee on December 20, 2012 with Q&A time following the presentation.  After further review the selection committee selected:

Lusk & Company as the number one firm.

Ajax Building Corporation of Georgia was ranked as our number two selection with New South Construction as the committee’s third choice.

The top three (3) submitters were selected by the committee and will be interviewed Thursday, December 20, 2012 between the hours of 10a.m. to 1p.m. The following three (3) we selected in no particular order:
