The Annual Santa in Uniform

On December 20, 2018, uniformed personnel from almost every city/county public safety agency as well as state agencies took part in the annual Santa in Uniform Day.

The public safety agencies escorted many children to Home Depot to visit and have their photos taken with Santa. The uniformed personnel then escorted the children with lights and sirens to Wal-Mart where they shopped with one or more uniformed personnel.

Santa in Uniform began several years ago when Gordon County Fire Fighter Marshall Greene presented the idea to the Fire Chief.  Money is raised all year long from fundraisers such as the annual rodeo, bbq plate sales, and other outside organizations giving toward the cause.

We would like to specifically special thank:

  • City of Calhoun Fire Department
  • City of Calhoun Police Department
  • Georgia State Patrol
  • Gordon County Bus Transportation, Gina Daniels
  • Gordon County EMA
  • Gordon County EMS
  • Gordon County Fire & Rescue
  • Gordon County School System
  • Gordon County Sheriff’s Office
  • Home Depot
  • Wal-Mart

Please extend your appreciation to all the public safety agency professionals that took time out of their busy schedule to go shopping with these kids.
