Gordon County is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Purchasing Director. This position will be responsible for the procurement functions of Gordon County. This will include preparing bid and RFP documents; make recommendations to Board of Commissioners regarding bid awards; monitors departmental budgets; and oversees the county purchasing software program (Munis Software). Qualified applicants should posses a bachelor degree in one of the following: business, finance, accounting, management or public administration and a minimum of five years in a progressively responsible position associated with procurement, preferably in a government agency; or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.
