4/07/09 Work Session Minutes
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Conference Room.
Chairman Long called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed each item on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting and made no changes; one item was added later in the meeting.
Magistrate Judge Marvin Broyles came before the Board to voice his concerns with needed repairs and additional space at the main Courthouse. Chairman Long advised that the Board has plans for a new roof to be accomplished soon, and improvements at the Courthouse; work is currently being done on the plaza area.
County Administrator added one item to the agenda concerning a grant application to the Department of Homeland Security for a Justice Assistants grant to hire a part-time drug counselor for the Cherokee circuit Drug Court.
Commissioner Hood made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Gordon seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
