6/16/09 Work Session Minutes

The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Conference Room.

Chairman Long called the meeting to order.

The Board discussed each item on the Agenda for the Regular Meeting and made no changes or additions.

County Administrator informed the Board that he needed to add to the agenda three surplus Sheriff’s vehicles. There was a consensus of the Board to add this item to the agenda.

The Board and the E-911 Department Head, Debbie Vance, discussed applying for another radio frequency. The costs and steps to be taken to acquire another frequency were discussed. There was a consensus of the Board to have Ms. Vance proceed with applying for another frequency.

The Board discussed a request from a private citizen to be named to the Board of Family and Children Services. Following discussion and after being advised by a member of that board that there were no positions open on that board the Administrator advised that he would correct our records to reflect the correct terms if they would furnish a complete list of the members and their terms.

Commissioner Bailey made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Gordon seconded and all voted aye.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
