7/20/10 Work Session Minutes
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Administration Building
Chairman Long called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.
Chairman Long congratulated and presented a plaque to Finance Director Al Leonard, a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
The Board discussed each item on the Agenda and made no changes; one item was added to the Agenda later in the meeting.
Mr. Rick Wood with the Trust for Public Land came before the Board to update and explain the Grant Agreement for the Civil War Battlefield Land Acquisition Grant for the Medders Tract at Resaca Battlefield. There was a consensus of the Board to add this item to the Agenda.
Commissioner Bailey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Gordon seconded the motion and all voted aye. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
