8/16/11 Work Session Minutes
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners held a Work Session Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Administration Building.
Chairman Bailey called the meeting to order.
The Board discussed each item on the agenda and made no changes.
County Attorney Hutchinson spoke to the Board regarding an amendment to the personnel ordinance regarding county personnel running for elected office. Following discussion, there was a consensus of the Board to ask the County Attorney to check with other county governments to learn what rules or policies they have adopted. Also, to determine if those rules or policies are adequate and are functioning and operating well.
The Board discussed the scheduled date for the next Regular Meeting. There was a consensus of the Board to move the September 6, 2011 meeting to September 13, 2011.
Commissioner Hood made a motion to adjourn the Work Session. Commissioner Steward seconded the motion and all voted aye.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
