This October, Gordon County Government would like to encourage all women to speak with their doctors about breast cancer and develop an early detection plan (http://www.earlydetectionplan.org). Many of us either have family members or friends who have be affected by cancer and we would like to stand with the Nation Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and with our local Gordon Hospital and bringing awareness to this awful disease.
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.
