Voter Registration
Last day for a person to register and be eligible to vote or change their name or address in a primary or general election is on the 5th Monday prior to the election. O.C.G.A. 21-2-224
Qualifications to Register to Vote
- You must be a citizen of the United States
- You must be a resident of Georgia
- You must be at least 17 1/2 years old (but you can’t vote until you turn 18)
How to Register to Vote
- Register to vote online at https://registertovote.sos.ga.gov/GAOLVR/welcome.do#no-back-button
- Visit us in person at our office located at 408 Court Street, Calhoun, Georgia
- Call us at 706-629-7781 and we will mail you an application
- Register to vote when you get your driver’s license
- You can print off a voter registration application and mail it to:

When to Register to Vote
- If you are not sure if you are registered, please check My Voter Page to see if you are registered to vote
- If you move, you must notify us 30 days prior to any election to change your address
- If you change your name, you must notify us 30 days prior to any election to change your name
- Always check your voter registration to make sure your information on your voter registration is correct 30 days before any election
