The County Clerk is appointed by and is directly responsible to the Board of County Commissioners. This position serves as the clerk to the Board of Commissioners and prepares the commission agendas, notifies the media of all Board meetings, records all commission meetings, prepares commission meeting minutes, maintains all county records, and responds to open records requests. In addition, this department also arranges training and travel plans for the Board members, maintains all renewals and new applications for beer and wine licenses, receives citizens’ complaints, and refers them to the appropriate department for resolution.
