The Information Technology Department is responsible for the acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of the county’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and wireless networks. This department maintains 20 servers with 14 virtual servers, over 350 desktop and laptop computers, a multi-building security camera system, network electronics, and other related items such as printers. The IT Department also maintains the county’s high-speed Internet connection, all county software including e-mail, voice-mail, back-ups, court programs, and network security software. This department also supervises the GIS Office, maintains two websites, an inmate information site, all social media services, the county-wide VOIP telephone system, and a court video system.
