Open Meetings Act
The Georgia Open Meetings Act, which governs which governmental meetings are open to the public, can be found at O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1 through 50-14-6. These code sections can be accessed through the Georgia Attorney General web site.
Open Records Act
The Georgia Open Records Act, which governs which government records are to be open for public inspection, can be found at O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70 through 50-18-76. These code sections can be accessed through the Georgia Secretary of State web site.

The completed form should be brought to the Gordon County Administration Building located at 201 North Wall Street. The form will then be forwarded to the appropriate department within the County for completing the request for open records. State law requires that an open record request be responded to within three business days. Where responsive records exist but are not available within three business days of the request, a written description of such records, together with a timetable for their inspection and copying, shall be provided within that period.
