Tallatoona Community Action Partnership

Tallatoona CAP, Inc., a private non-profit organization, was founded in 1967 and serves low income and elderly residents in eight Northwest Georgia counties, including Gordon County. This organization operates the Headstart Program located on SR 53 in Sonoraville and the Human Resources Development Center located at 194 Newtown Road in Calhoun. The Human Resources Development Center offers indigent medical services, weatherization program, energy assistance program, job referrals, Angel Food program, surplus food program, and emergency food bank, among other services.
