The Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration hereby provides public notice of the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration intent to begin processing absentee ballots prior to the close of the polls on June 9, 2020. Pursuant to State Election Board Emergency Rule 183-1-14-0.7-.15, the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration shall open absentee ballots and begin scanning absentee ballots starting at 9:00 am on June 3, 2020, in the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office located in the Gordon County Annex Building at 101 S. Piedmont Street, Calhoun, Georgia. The process will be monitored as authorized by the rule. This processing will not include any tallying or tabulation of results; only the opening of envelopes and ballot scanning.
