UPDATE: Rezoning application Z22-16 has been withdrawn.

There will be no hearing on this matter on October 17, 2022.


 

Re: Z22-16; 112 Acres at Miller Ferry Rd. and Shaw Rd.

The Miller Ferry rezoning request that came before the Planning Commission on September 12, 2022 was tabled until October 10th at the request of the applicant to give time for the completion of a DRI (Development of Regional Impact study). Several concerned citizens have pointed out October 10 falls within the week of fall break and they would have to cancel travel plans in order to attend the hearing. Staff for the Planning Commission and Board of Commissioners have conferred and agreed to change the date of the hearing to accommodate families with fall break plans. The Planning Commission hearing is rescheduled and will be held on October 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the GEM Theater (instead of October 10th) and the Board of Commissioners will plan to hear the matter on November 1, 2022. Official notices of these dates will be posted as required by law. All interested parties are encouraged to attend these hearings. Our intent is to provide maximum accessibility to the hearings and an opportunity for all who are concerned in this issue to be heard.
