…Light Wintry Mix Sunday For Far North Georgia…

A strong upper level storm system will move across the area mid morning Sunday through the afternoon hours. There will not be very much moisture to work with as this system moves through and therefore any precipitation amounts are expected to be light. A mixture of light snow and rain will move across the area Sunday morning except all snow at elevations above 1500 ft. By afternoon…the valleys should warm enough to see most of the mixture change back over to all rain but elevations above 2000 ft should remain all snow. As we get into the evening hours…colder temps will allow all precipitation to end as light snow with total accumulations of a dusting in the valleys to up to 1 inch in the higher elevations. Caution is advised on area roadways Sunday through Sunday night and even into Monday morning.
