Many have asked, “why are some road name signs green and others blue?” The answer is that green signs are used for county maintained roads and blue signs are used for private drives. As in life, it’s not always this cut and dry; although Gordon County will never use blue signs on a county maintained road, you may find instances where a citizen has purchased a green sign to post at the end of their road.
